Pandora looked to build their brand affinity by creating a steady pulse of new release content that would tap into Pandora’s 70M+ monthly listeners and bring an artist’s newly released music to market. Promoting an album should be easy. We let artists do so by allowing the name of their project to guide the creative. The outcome…Literally, Literally.
For this shoot, my normal role of project manager expanded to video producer where I secured the production crew, location, and the talent. Working hand-in-hand with the director on approving the shot list and shoot schedule, this capture was an absolute success. Post-shoot, I guided the production of the animated asset shown here.

Pandora had an opportunity to work with meteoric star of music and film, Troye Sivan, for a brief afternoon studio capture in support of his new album Bloom.
As Project Producer, I set the plan of attack that maximized our time with him, delivering a winning concept for album promotion. We produced multiple pieces of content from a half day shoot, amplified through PR outreach and championed on channels such as Billboard online. Ultimately, we raised over ten thousand dollars for Ally Coalition through the online auction of his artwork.

Tentpole events have proven time and time again to deliver incremental dollars for experiential sales clients that wish to activate around music. In both venue and revenue, this was Pandora’s largest ever.
At the infamous LA Coliseum, I led a creative team of videographers, photographers, and production vendors on the ground to produce assets that promoted this event, both on and off-platform. We aimed to create imagery that reflected a “collective memory” of summer, that was supported by a shared soundtrack to the listener’s summer moments and memories.

The beauty of music is that there is always an up-and-coming emerging artist looking to set or ride a trend everywhere their fans might plug in. So, we created a series of videos that showcased a few talented acts as they informed the masses on their stories and their music.
I was able to lock down the location, production crew and set the run-of-show with the director. Since this program was a first for Pandora, I guided the creation of a look & feel with our creative team, which resulted in a sleek and trendy animation asset.

Walking around Pandora’s office, you never know who you will run into. Your favorite artists could be roaming the halls at any given moment. Our creative team looked to leverage the relationships we had with artists by bringing them in for album promotion.
I pushed for an economical and efficient way to do this. With the strength of Pandora’s in-house creatives, we were able to capture behind-the-scenes video of an artist’s in-office photo shoot, while having them give a shout-out to their current projects. This made for snackable video and design content that the team could turn around in quick fashion. Thus, making our team a nimble one for our internal stakeholders.

🔈LISTEN TO THE POWER OF AUDIO 🔈
This audio sizzle helped to show Pandora’s markerters the importance of understanding the drivers of multicultural decision making and how to use those insights to make a meaningful connection with the listener.
I worked with a cross-functional team to ideate the content of the sizzle, fine-tune and rewrite scripts, while providing valuable creative feedback that had a POV but also allowed our creatives to do what they do best.

My role was to spring this to life on Pandora’s platform by bringing a large working group together that consisted of marketing, legal, digital engineers, designers, and developers. This meant that I had to speak many different languages to ensure that all of our key performance indicators were hit and maintained throughout the life of the program.

“Helicopter” was the debut single for the local Oakland artists, Sol Development. And as Creative Lead and Strategist, I worked with the group to develop a video concept that would bring their powerful words of positivity and enlightenment to life. What resulted, was pure and honest to their brand messaging.

With a shoe-string budget and less than one-week to execute on a show concept that I created, this Soul Train Awards After Show proved to be my most challenging and rewarding project to date.
My show would air immediately after the Soul Train Awards, which was an honor in itself. Wearing many hats on the ground and in the edit room, I aimed to provide viewers with an inside look into the goings on behind the scenes of an award show.
